Foreign worker insurance FAQ
How much is foreign worker insurance?
The price depends on the cover period and the plan. See every plan's price in the comparison above; prices include tax and stamp duty. From 660 baht per worker.
What does it cover?
In-patient and out-patient treatment for accident or illness, plus personal accident (death, loss of limbs or sight, total permanent disability). Each plan's limits are on its card above.
Can an employer insure many workers at once?
Yes. Enter workers one by one or upload CheckDi's Excel template, pay once, and get the receipt / tax invoice in the company's name.
Who is the insurer?
Each plan card shows the insurer that underwrites it. CheckDi is an insurance broker licensed by the OIC and shows every plan we offer side by side.
How is it different from the government health card for foreign workers?
The government card pays for care at the public hospital where the worker is registered. Foreign worker plans from insurers state their in-patient and out-patient limits and can include accident cash, which the card does not have. If you need insurance for a legal document such as a work permit, check with the Department of Employment first.
Can workers read the details in their own language?
Yes. This page is in Thai, English, Myanmar, Khmer and Lao — send the link to your workers. Applying and paying are in Thai or English.
* Cover and exclusions follow the policy conditions of the insurer that underwrites each plan · CheckDi is an insurance broker licensed by the OIC.
